Saturday Day 45: PARTY!!

We had to teach today for makeup from our vacation :-( I didn't think I would mind so much until we were actually going to school. Weekends are precious time, but at least we don't have to stay too late. 

The school forgot to inform us that we had to take the city buses today. The drivers had Saturday off, so they weren't there to pick us up. The first problem is that city buses suck, and the next is that they take FOREVER. We ended up missing the first hour of school. 

All of the guys get to have pizza hut for lunch today after they watch the priesthood session of conference :-( We could get a nice dinner too, but we would have to travel 2 hours to shenzhen again to meet with the rest of the relief society, and that's not really worth it. 
We ended up going to a "party" tonight behind our apartments with our coordinators and Kaiyin instead anyway. Some other ILP groups came from a couple hours away too :) It was actually really fun. There was this really cool room,(literally), with ice sculptures of all the Ice Age characters and a castle and slide. It was the first time I have been really cold in China, but you were still sweating as soon as you walked outside. 

There was some performers and we got to BBQ for dinner :) It was awesome. We got a little charcoal grill and tons of meat. We had Real Beef Hot dogs that were the best and some little sausages that were also delicious. They had fish, chicken, octopus balls, ribs, pork, beef, mushrooms, cabbage, and this delicous honey BBQ sauce that we put on everything. It was really good. I tried everything, and I liked pretty much everything except for the actual whole fish I didn't try too much of that.... :/ The octopus balls weren't really good either, but not awful, charred and drenched in the honey stuff :P

Brina is hilarious. Asians here have zero arm hair, in fact they're pretty much hairless everywhere, (except for their nasty armpits and mole hairs) but today Brina had her arm in mine as we were walking and would feel my arm and just laugh and say "different!" Darn those hairy arms ;P

We did some perfoming ourselves towards the end of the night. This was "Apologize", and we also did The Single Ladies. Unfortunately I don't have any of the videos :P But it was pretty great. We danced to Gangam style too. The Chinese go crazy over it :P

Allison missed it all because she was at a Birthday Party for one of her students, but she got Cheesecake and Chocolate Fudge cake, and she got to ride a horse, so I would have to say that her night was pretty great also.
